报告摘要 | Ultrafast spectroscopies which employ attosecond electron and photon pulses, enable us to observe photochemical dynamics in real time and helps to understand mechanisms and design synthetic approach. However, understanding and designing spectroscopies requires the support of theoretical simulation. Our research is centered on developing ab initio quantum chemical methods to better design, predict and simulate spectroscopies. We place special focus on the simulation of magnetic optical effects and relativistic effects. In this talk, we report recent advances in the theoretical study of ultrafast spectroscopies, including molecular imaging via heterodyne electron diffraction, observation of conical intersections through magnetic optical spectra, and the control of optical activity using chiral cavities. |
报告人简介 | Dr. Sun obtained his BS from Fudan University in 2015. He did his Ph.D. study under the supervision of Prof. Xiaosong Li in University of Washington (2015-2020). From 2021 to 2023, he worked as a postdoctoral scholar in the labs of Prof. Shaul Mukamel (UC Irvine). |
