主要研究方向为机器人化学家、移动操作机器人、双臂协作机器人、绳索牵引并联机器人、工业机器人、机器人自主学习、AI for Science等。主持国家自然科学基金项目共5项,中科院先导课题1项,发表SCI论文70余篇,出版专著1部,获国家发明专利50余项。获得中科院年度团队奖、National Science Review最佳论文奖、中国机器人学术年会最佳海报奖、国际会议IEEE-ICARM先进机器人最佳论文奖等。
