主要研究方向与成果:

主要研究方向包括生物医用高分子与生物材料、生物医学工程与器件设计、细胞递送与细胞治疗、基因递送与基因治疗、免疫治疗等。

针对化疗药物和核酸药物递送过程中的主要科学问题,发展了环境智能响应性拓扑高分子的合成新方法,提出了离子-偶极作用诱导的聚合物自组装新策略,揭示了各种离子、核酸等与合成高分子之间的相互作用,实现了核酸等药物的高效递送。针对胰岛封装中存在的细胞乏氧问题,构建了多款富氧型多功能细胞封装器件,已在多种动物模型中取得良好的效果,致力于推出可临床转化的“生物人工胰腺”用于1型糖尿病治疗。
